This past year has taught us what it means to truly slow down, listen and observe what is in front of us. Instead of keeping up with the latest hair trends we had to embrace what was happening naturally and that within itself is a trend. Whether that looked like embracing your gray hair or those curls you no longer had the energy to straighten you came to a realization that those things you thought you didn’t want or couldn’t stand to look at is now the very thing that is working. Softer, more accentuated approaches to hair color have been the winning theme for zoom meeting. Balayage, ombre, reverse balayage, baby lights are all amazing ways of accentuating pretty tones while giving you a soft grow out.
A few of us decided we wanted a fresh start and said “What the hay, let’s cut it all off!” I found myself cutting my hair to its shortest during the pandemic and I can’t tell you how rejuvenating it has been.
Take that risk and go for it! Rock that bob, get those bangs you’ve been wanting to try because being home is a pretty cool time to try new things. If you’re still trying to play it safe protective styles have been saving the day. Braids have been an absolute favorite for the girls. Who doesn’t enjoy not having to worry about what your hair is doing for a few weeks. I certainly do.

For those who never had time to keep up with at home deep conditioning treatments or scalp care there is no more excuses. Healthy hair is always in and there has never been a better time to invest in yourself and truly bring out your hair’s best version of itself. Kerastase Masque, Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector, Pureology Superfood Treatment and Moraccanoil Treatment are a few salon favorites that clients cannot get enough of.
Embracing everything that makes you unique and feeling beautiful is and will always be the best way to go.
